My personal thanks to all who entered the 35th Anniversary ‘Name That Cowgirl’ contest. I am grateful for the remarkable thought, cleverness and originality that you all put into your entries and appreciate you being a part of our anniversary celebration. We truly enjoyed reading through each and every entry. The anonymous methods by which the luthiers chose the winner left no doubt as to the fair selection of the finalists and the ultimate winner of the beautiful, limited edition, 35th Anniversary Cowgirl Guitar. By the nature of a ‘winner take all’ competition, only one person goes away feeling that the award went to the most deserving entry, but we hope the rest of you enjoy wearing your Cowgirl with pride. Rest assured of our gratitude and look forward to the next nerve wracking test of your patience that we can devise.
All the best…

Below are photos of our 35th Anniversary Cowgirl Guitar, which Jeff of Missouri is the happy winner of 1 of 10 (see his amazing story below). The other 9 pieces are either in production or scheduled for production, and will be going to the following dealers throughout the year in 2012:

Butch’s Guitar & Repair in San Luis Obispo, CA
The Music Emporium in Lexington, MA
White House of Music in Waukesha, WI
Artisan Guitars in Franklin, TN
Willcutt Guitars in Lexington, KY
Voerman Guitars in The Netherlands
The Guitar Gallery in Singapore
Yellow Mama Guitars in Thailand
Down Home Guitars in Frankfort, IL

We encourage you to contact these dealers if you are interested in being the proud owner of one of these truly limited edition guitars. Even if you can’t add one to your collection, hopefully you can stop by one of these stores to see it displayed. We will also have one on display at the NAMM show in January, so stop by our booth if you are in Anaheim.
