For the past fifteen years, Ron Block has been the spiritual backbone of Alison Krauss and Union Station, contributing sterling musicianship on guitar and vocals. Block has also recorded with Susan Ashton, Vince Gill, Clint Black, Bill Frisell, Dolly Parton and most recently, Brad Paisley. Santa Cruz Guitar Company is thrilled to partner with this incredible musician to create the Ron Block Signature Dreadnought. Vintage inspired highlights include an Adirondack top and bracing set with hot hide glue, through saddle and a 1-11/16 inch nut width. A contemporary Bluegrass balance delivers big bass while still allowing great definition in mids and clean separation for high end leads. For an authentic old look, the complete instrument is finished in an amber Nitro-Cellulose lacquer.
