Small Bodied Family
Santa Cruz shows the utmost respect for the small-sbodied instrument. There was a very purposeful reason that this was the desired size of the guitar for generations prior to 1900. The air chamber size was the result of lifetimes of study; it generated the most refined and articulate stringed voice for the preferred small venues of the day.  The increase in body size over the years to meet the additional volume demands of ensemble performance did not make the parlour-sized guitar irrelevant.  It has enjoyed tremendous appreciation today as a superior recording and composing instrument, compared to its much larger modern counterparts.
